The Chevelle was produced by Chevrolet as a mid-sized car and saw three generations between 1964 and 1978. The Chevelle was part of the General Motors A-Body platform and ultimately one of Chevrolet's most successful nameplates. Available body styles included coupes, sedans, convertibles and station wagons. A high-performance version of the car was identified as a “Super Sport” and was produced through the 1973 model year.
