The Chevrolet Camaro was produced as an answer to the Ford Mustang and was classified as a pony car with production models starting in 1967. The Camaro shared its platform and many major components with its sibling, the Pontiac Firebird. The Chevy Camaro can be segmented into four generations developed before production ended in 2002. The nameplate was revived in 2009 with an all-new but retro-styled fifth generation.
