HIGHLIGHTS: Beautiful Raven Black paint over classic black and
white bench seat interior. 312 Thunderbird V8 A Masterclass in
Restoration with factory correct stampings BODY OVERVIEW: Most
Thunderbirds are ""drivers."" This is not one of them. This Raven
Black 1957 ""Baby Bird"" is a top-shelf restoration. Having
remained with the same owner for nearly half a century, this T-Bird
was treated to an obsessive, frame-off style restoration where the
smallest of details were preserved. The car appears to be largely
original as far as sheet metal goes and the brightwork and emblems
are in excellent shape. Even the factory-correct paint markings on
the driveshaft have been preserved. PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Raven
Black is arguably the most sophisticated color ever laid on a '57
Bird. A deep, mirror-like Raven Black repaint pairs perfectly with
the iconic ""Porthole"" White hardtop and matching White soft top.
Thiscontrast of colors is hard to beat. Factory stamp markings are
found just about everywhere showing the pride of ownership and the
true love of this car. INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The Black and
White interior is the perfect ""tuxedo"" pairing for the Raven
exterior. There are virtually zero signs of wear. The bench seat,
dash pad, and door panels are crisp, taut, and correct. The
top-shelf restoration really shines through as this 1957 experience
is exactly as it was delivered from the showroom floor. MECHANICAL
OVERVIEW: Under the hood sits a gleaming, highly detailed 312ci V8
which starts readily with a turn of the key. Paired with a
smooth-shifting Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission, this car is
all the fun a classic T-Bird should be. This is a ""driver's car""
spec which means manual steering and manual drum brakes. While it
requires more input than a modern car, it offers a direct,
unassisted connection to the road that power-steering cars lack.
Everything works from the tachometer to the radio. This car has
been mechanically sorted to match its cosmetic perfection. WHAT
YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The sheer rarity of a Raven Black car
in this condition. The ""Easter Eggs"" for collectors, like the
factory markings on the undercarriage. The peace of mind that comes
from 50 years of single-family care. WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS
CAR: It is a manual steering/manual brake car. It is authentic to
how most T-Birds left the factory, but it requires a ""hands-on""
driving style. DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Nothing but a new home! WHAT
BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR?? Anyone looking for a car with
Long-Term stewardship. This car was owned by the same individual
for nearly 50 years. It has not been flipped through auctions and
was instead a prized family possession. Anyone looking for a car
that is show ready. This car is ready for the grass at any regional
concours or Ford-specific national meet. Contact Rare Rides Company
