Draped in sharp maroon paint and rocking a set of show-stopping 17"
Ridler wheels, this 1967 Ford Mustang is a fine-looking rendition
of Ford's game-changing Pony Car in the enhanced, slightly stouter
form it took on the very year this cruiser came out. Bring this
Mustang out into the sun and the subtle metallic flake in its paint
catches the sun perfectly and as you take a closer look at it,
you'll likely appreciate the attention to detail this classic
shows. Its chrome bumpers are level as a table and in fine shape,
and the lighting both fore and aft is crystal clear. Better still,
along with its fresh appearance, this vintage Ford is equipped with
some key mechanical upgrades to make driving it a pleasure.
Climb inside, and you'll see that the black vinyl interior still
has its authentic factory appearance and is in good shape. The
bucket seats show no concerning wrinkling or excessive wear, and
the bench seat in back looks even cleaner. You might also notice
that there's a surprising amount of available rear legroom. To be
sure, no one would consider a vintage Mustang to be a full-fledged
passenger car, but you really can put two adults in back. Farther
forward, the dash area is well-preserved, with no signs of any
cracks or warping and an aftermarket AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth
connectivity takes the place of the original radio, pairing with
Kenwood speakers to offer a quality audio experience.
A close look beneath the hood will show that the engine bay has
been properly maintained, with a 302-cubic-inch V8 at its center,
surrounded by fresh belts and hoses. The small block is fed by an
Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, along with an intake manifold by
the same manufacturer and it breathes easily, thanks to a pair of
added Hedman shorty headers. The engine teams with a Tremec TKX
five-speed manual transmission that not only puts full control of
its output in the hands of the driver but has an excellent
reputation for durability. An upgraded aluminum radiator is
securely mounted up front to keep operating temperatures at bay.
Power steering and power brakes that feature discs in front make
this Ford classic well-suited for frequent driving.
