When it comes to muscle cars, there is nothing quite like a
first-generation Camaro. Power, prestige, and pizazz begin to
describe this beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Tribute. Fully
repainted in subtly unique Burnished Brown exterior paint, while
its contrasting twin, full-length white racing stripes complement
its pinned, cowl-induction hood and unmistakable Z/28 badging.
Inside, we find a black vinyl interior. A pair of bucket seats
offers an expansive view of the old-school dashboard. Sitting just
ahead of a three-pod gauge cluster featuring a 120 mph speedometer
and a 7,000 rpm tachometer, a two-spoke manual steering wheel
provides authentic unassisted feedback. Just beyond that wheel is a
big 120 mph speedometer and a matching fuel gauge. A white
cueball-style shifter is equal parts entertainment and grab-handle
when this Pony Car really digs in.
Under that cowl hood, we find a clean engine bay with a classic
350-cubic-inch V-8 engine. A single four-barrel carburetor feeds
into a traditional Snowflake intake manifold, while long tube
headers and a FlowMaster dual exhaust dispenses with spent gases.
Power gets funneled through a heavy-duty Muncie M22 "Rock Crusher"
four-speed manual before heading out to the twelve-bolt rear end,
which transfers those ponies to the pavement via a set of
fifteen-inch Rallye Wheels shod in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
