presence BODY OVERVIEW: The Windsor Limousine's long, graceful
lines and proud stance speak to a time when prestige meant
presence. With wide doors, ample cabin space, and detailed trim,
this post-war cruiser was designed to make an entrance at any
event. The body is straight and clean with imperfections at a
minimum. All of the chrome trim is present, and presents nicely.
Even the underside presents well in original condition! PAINT
CONDITION OVERVIEW: Wearing a rich, deep blue finish, this Chrysler
glows with elegance. The paint has excellent shine and a deep gloss
throughout, likely the result of a high-quality older restoration.
Minor flaws exist upon close inspection, but nothing that detracts
from the sophisticated presentation. This car will turn heads
without shouting for attention-as true luxury always does. INTERIOR
CONDITION OVERVIEW: Inside, this Windsor delivers an inviting blend
of class and comfort (the kind only Art Deco & Modernism of the
1940s can deliver). The soft, blue cloth seating, blue and tan door
panels, and original trim elements evoke a time when craftsmanship
ruled above all. Ornate carpeting in the rear adds a unique touch
of plushness. Discerning buyers will notice how every detail of
this vehicle was addressed in the original design; from the folding
window crank handles, to the chrome features on various knobs and
bezels, even down to beautiful window and door handle
escutcheons-this car would be wet if it were dripping in any more
class. There are signs of aging consistent with an original vehicle
or older restoration, but overall, the interior feels authentic and
well-kept and evokes a feeling of days gone by. A true time capsule
of 1940s luxury! MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Powered by Chrysler's 250ci
inline-six, this limousine starts easily and runs with the quiet
dignity expected of a car of its stature. The Fluid Drive
transmission provides a smooth and surprisingly modern driving
experience-low effort with vintage character. Whether driving or
riding in this limo,it is nothing but a composed and confident
ride. This is not a hot rod; it's a rolling lounge, made to cruise!
For those unfamiliar, the Fluid Drive is a sort of semi-automatic
transmission. Although it has a clutch, and appears as a
column-shifted 3-speed manual, there are only two gears other than
reverse: high and low range. The clutch is not needed to come to a
stop or to start from a stop; only to change between gears, so you
can easily cruise around town without shifting constantly! WHAT
YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: • Timeless elegance and rare limousine
body style • Smooth driving thanks to Fluid Drive • Wonderful
details like folding crank handles, chrome interior and exterior
trim, and AM radio • Room for the whole crew-or just room to
stretch out! WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: • It's 19-feet
long-parking will be a calculated effort • Interior shows some wear
consistent with age • Don't expect modern acceleration-this one's
about the ride, not the race! DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? • Nothing
major-just a new owner who appreciates vintage luxury and 1940s
design! • The horn and radio are not operational WHAT BUYER IS
