Vehicle Description
This 1941 Cadillac Imperial Limousine is believed to have been special ordered for former New York Governor Herbert H. Lehman, although no official documentation supports this. Several design features present are unique to this automobile and not found on others of the same model. For example, the body is a custom ordered Durham body with the rear side windows—standard on the Imperial body—removed. Also absent are the running boards, which are standard on the Imperial model; under the car, and there is no sign of the running board brackets ever being installed at the factory. The traditional dual radio in the rear of the vehicle is also absent. Though no paper work exists, the unique and rare factory features support the idea that this car was custom ordered for an important individual with specific automotive tastes.
Well cared for by a former long time Cadillac employee and collector of quality automobiles, this Cadillac is in very good mechanical condition, and it drives very well. The exterior has been repainted. Sold with a registration.
