For Sale: 1967 Pontiac GTO in Senoia, Georgia

Vehicle Description

Selling my 1967 Pontiac GTO. 63,500 original miles. I've driven it approximately 1,000 miles in 2 years. 95% Complete. This car was sold new in Lagrange Georgia and has ALWAYS been a Ga. car. I am the fourth owner of this great example of a GTO. No body filler, solid, straight body panels. One repaint!

Thousands and Thousands of dollars have gone in to this restoration. By the time the third owner bought it in 2010, it needed paint and lots of reconditioning. He had a shop do a frame off paint job and strip and repaint the entire frame on a rotisserie machine. It is not a nut and bolt restoration.  Paint was done in 2011. It looks great still. Base type period correct Gold with clear coat finish. At that time he also had some engine work performed. New valves, hardened rods, different slightly radical cam (really sounds good at idle). See list at the end of most all the parts (I think). He had new soundproofing and carpet installed as well. This is a drum brake car, stops good but not like disc brakes would.

By the time I bought it in the fall of 2015 it needed many more parts. All the lower stainless trim, wheel trim rings, spare, jack, headliner, rear seat (upper & lower) steering wheel, all knobs on the dash, radio (just to fill the hole, doesn't work)rear side panels, window cranks, etc etc.

I'm pretty particular with the cars I own and I knew this was going to turn out great.  Starts right up, cruises so smooth. No vibration in the steering wheel, power steering is better than some of the newer cars I've owned. Great tread on the newer tires. No known oil leaks. No spots on garage floor.  I DO NOT beat on this car and if your serious you're welcome to do a Test drive but absolutely no beating the crap out of it. You buy it, then you can do that.

Now some of the negatives. It is a 50 year old car. There's slight imperfections in areas like stainless around vent windows, middle console has some pitting. PHS documentation comes with the car. Vin number matches BUT, this is a 1967 GTO 400 motor but not original. Owner number 2 (I personally talked to him on the phone) the motor came out of his other 67 GTO  that the body was trashed.

Also, car was original from the factory with a bench seat, and automatic on the column. It was changed to correct GTO bucket seats & correct Hurst His & Her floor shifter.

Now a few things that either don't work or might need attention later. Your call.

1. Radio (haven't really cared about this), I did find an original radio to put in the dash but it's junk as far as working.

2. It needs an under dash wiring harness. (Front harness has been replaced already) a new harness (500 bucks) would fix all concerns. Wipers, dash lights, cigarette lighter inop because of this. I'd ask 38k at least if this was fixed.

(This was last on the long list because, I'd never drive it in the rain, don't drive it at night, and I don't smoke)

3. This came from the factory with a vinyl top. It has several spots that have small bubbles in the paint. They have not gotten any worse in the 2 years I've owned it but an easy fix would be to add the vinyl top. Parts are like 250.00.  It also has small paint bubbles on the gold paint around the rear lights.

4. Rear Seat belts missing

In closing I've tried to take pictures of all parts of the  car.

I'm insured through Haggerty with a 35,000 agreed value for 300 bucks a year. According to what I see online and their estimates online, this is a #3 "Good" condition car, valued at 36k average price.

It's not a Barrett Jackson 60-70k numbers matching car but it is a real gto, not a clone (some of these guys are asking high 20s?) in my opinion with a few more odds and ends finished, its a 40-45k car all day.

I looked around at many cars before buying this and I'm comfortable that if you're in to GTOS, this is a winner!!
