For Sale at Auction: 1960 Kenworth W925 in Owls Head, Maine
This 1960 Kenworth W925 tractor recently underwent a complete, five-year, frame-off, high quality restoration. Kenworth trucks of this caliber are highly sought after by collectors for their classic needle nose design, rugged construction and durability.
Under the hood, this truck is powered by a 220 hp Cummins engine with a turbo and a quad box, two-stick transmission. It also maintains its factory Jake brake. During the restoration, the engine was removed from the truck and inspected for operability before reinstalling. A new radiator was installed during reassembly, along with a new clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing. The brake system went though a complete overhaul, and 100% of the components were replaced, including the air compressor. The electrical system overhaul included a new starter and generator and a completely new wiring harness. The twin stack exhaust system is all new.
One of the best features of this Kenworth is that it is sitting on all new tires that wrap around beautifully polished wheels. The cab, which has a factory sliding rear window, has all new interior. On the exterior, the paintwork on the entire truck, including the frame and undercarriage components, is excellent.
Restorations of antique trucks like this are a serious investment, and this Kenworth certainly reflects that commitment. Sold with a registration.
