Chevrolet Corvette Convertible (numbers matching) with a New Crate
ZZ4 engine and new Tremec 5 speed transmission. Included is the
original numbers matching L-79 327/350hp motor and numbers matching
four speed transmission.The previous owner purchased it about
fifteen years ago, was driven about six months and the engine
developed a wrist pin issue. The original L-79 engine and trans
were removed and replaced with a new ZZ-4 crate motor with 355 hp
and new Tremec 5 speed transmission. All is documented with
receipts. The car runs great, especially on the highway with the
fifth gear.The car was a complete frame off restoration about 17
years ago. Paint is excellent quality with some minor chips and
wear. The interior is redone in the correct style, also showing
normal wear. This is a rare factory radio delete car. The chrome is
very nice with a few minor scrapes. The car was originally factory
Mossport green with green interior. ( 982 paint, 430 interior).The
trim tag and serial number tags are correct and pristine. The car
was built in November of 1965 based on the Vin number. The frame
has no rust, is clean and all finished black. The engine
compartment is very tidy and correct looking. The chrome is very
nice with a few minor scrapes, and the wheels are aftermarket knock
-offs. The black convertible top is excellent. This car has a lot
of value:The engine is the ZZ4 model 24502609 ($4295 engine alone)
, 355hp aluminum heads, forged steel crank, high silicon pistons,
PM connecting rods, over 400ft-lbs torque, with 4160 Holley 600 cfm
carb ($350), Hayes 30lb flywheel ($300) , and Zoom Premium clutch
($200), Tremec 5 speed transmission (over $5000), Add sidepipes ,
knock-off wheels , all a desirable combination. Driving this car is
a blast, runs really strong, sounds and looks great. There is
nothing like driving an old Corvette. Rebuild the original engine
or just enjoy it as is, either way it's a win/win.Additional
