The Datsun 280ZX launched in 1979 and was the introduction for
second generation of Nissan “Z Car.” A more refined version of the
previous models, the ZX featured upgraded suspension and steering.
While the previous Z Cars focused on more of a performance
experience the ZX dialed up driver comfort with a high end audio
system and more comfortable seating. The 280ZX was also the first
Datsun to feature the Nissan subscript on the badging and was a
successful rally car with several being raced by legendary drivers
such as Paul Newman. Today the Z Cars are noted with really
bringing the fascination of the Japanese sports car to American car
culture and original examples are highly sought after by collectors
and enthusiasts across the globe.
The 1982 Datsun 280ZX Coupe featured here is finished in gorgeous
Regatta Red with an impeccably kept original grey interior. This
