Vehicle Description
Stk. 2294 1949 Ford F-6 School Bus
The creator of the 'Shortcut High' has campaigned the Magic Bus
nation-wide to deliver a message to our youth: "If you want to be
cool, stay in school." The bus took five years to construct and has
been crossing the country promoting the theme for the last 15
years. It has been featured on TV and in numerous magazines. It was
also a 'Feature Vehicle" at the Las Vegas SEMA Show - twice. The
'cars.barcroft.tv' website has had millions of hits on the School
Bus Hot Rod. Just add your company logo and this internationally
recognized vehicle is the perfect medium for an individual,
organization or corporation to promote their mission, kid's
charity, program or product. From a mechanical standpoint, the
original '49 Ford F-6 school bus was shortened 7 feet (by removing
sections) and then chopped 3-1/2 feet. It was prepped and shot with
a beautiful coat of Wheatland Yellow paint that still looks great
today. 'Shortcut High' rides on a FWD Cadillac Eldorado full frame.
It is powered by 1977 Oldsmobile 403 big-block and FWD Hydramatic
transaxle. The supercharger spins, but it and 2x4 set-up are only
for show - fuel is furnished by an Edelbrock 4V on an Olds intake
housed under the blower case (no rotors) - amazing. The chassis has
air-bag suspension, power steering and power disc brakes. Shortcut
High has a roomy 7-passenger interior upholstered in grey cloth. A
custom left side driver door has a power window and your tunes come
from an AM/FM/CD stereo system. This is truly a bus like no other -
come to our showroom and study the 'Shortcut High'. Call
