Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this 1977 Chevrolet Monte
Carlo. The Monte Carlo is a two-door coupe manufactured and
marketed by Chevrolet from 1970 to 2007. Chevrolet marketed the
Monte Carlo as a personal luxury car, with the last generation
classified as a full-sized coup. The car was named for the city
Monte Carlo in the Principality of Monaco. For 1977 a revised front
grille with smaller segments with the Monte Carlo "Knight's Crest"
emblem moved to a stand-up hood ornament and revised taillight
lenses marked the 1977 Monte Carlo, which was the last year for the
1973-vintage design. This one is shown in a fairly new 2 stage
black paint job that was completed approx.. 8 years ago & shows
very well. The exterior trim, bumpers, & emblems are in good
condition. The car sits on classic 15-inch rally wheels wrapped in
white lettered BF Goodrich tires that have plenty of tread on them.
Powering this sweet 77 is the original 305 (5.0L) CID V8 that is
paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission that was rebuilt 500
miles ago. The interior is in great shape and looks like it has
minimal wear on most parts, minus a couple of cracks in the dash.
The remainder of the car is very clean, very solid, and is
completely free of any rust. The current owner has owned the car
for over a decade and has had a recent tune up completed on the
car, with new distributor, new spark plug wires & plugs. The car
does have AC but is currently not operating. Other notable features
on the car include: AM/FM radio, power brakes, power steering,
power seats, power windows, tilt steering wheel, cloth interior,
seat belts, & white raised lettered tires. This car is a cool
cruiser and is next in line to be the next generations classic! For
