A collector’s dream!

For 1932 Packard would introduce the 900 or “Light Eight” model. Designed as an entry-level model to compete with Buick, the 900 was the first and only Packard to feature the unique shovel nose grill, a styling que that leads to many today calling the Packard 900 one of the most beautiful ever built. A refined compression ratio raised the output of the 320 cubic inch Straight Eight to 110 horsepower, while a new chassis stretching the unique wheelbase of 127.75 inches provided Packard with a unique new platform. Four different body styles were available; a 5-passenger Coupe Sedan, a Coupe Roadster, a Stationary Coupe and the elegant 5-passenger Sedan. Ride control suspension allowed the driver to adjust the shocks to their preference, while Packard’s excellent fit and finish provided motoring luxury at a fraction of the price of some other models. While the 900 Light Eight line drove in strong sales figures, the high price of construction resulted in Packard losing more than $150 per car and thus was removed from the 1933 line up. Only approximately 6,750 900 Series Packard’s were built, however their unique styling and one year only appeal make them highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts across the globe today.

The 1932 Packard 900 Light Eight Sedan featured here is finished in stunning Monarch Maroon over black with an impeccably kept grey interior. This magnificent motorcar has been beautifully restored and is well furnished with ride control suspension, cowl ventilation, dual wipers, rear mounted spare, rear robe rail and more. It is recognized by the Classic Car Club of America (CCCA) as a Full Classic and is eligible to participate in all events and caravans.
