STORY:

MS CLASSIC CARS HAD COLLECTED AND SOLD A VERY SPEICAL MOTORCYCLE A FEW MONTHS BACK.  IT WAS THE 2014 ORANGE COUNTY CHOPPERS NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS EDITION CHOPPER.  IT WAS SOLD TO A LOCAL GENTLEMAN FROM LYNN, MASSACHSETTS WHO WAS A MOTORCYCLE COLLECTOR.  AS PART OF THE DEAL HE TRADED IN HIS FIRST MOTORCYCLE WHICH IS THIS 2002 HONDA CBR600 F4i.  THIS MOTORCYCLE WAS LIKE HIS FIRST CHILD AND HE TREATED IT WITH RESPECT AND CARE.  DURING HIS 15 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP HE ONLY AVERAGED ALITTLE OVER 300 MILES PER YEAR.  THE MOTORCYCLE CURRENTLY HAS 5,026 ORIGINAL MILES.  DURING THIS TIMEFRAME HE ALWAYS SERVICED, DETAILED AND GARAGED IT.  IT IS 100% STOCK AND IS IN SHOWROOM CONDITION.  LISTED BELOW IS HIS STORY WHEN HE PURCHASED IT.

My First Motorcycle.

“When I was 19 I do not have a job I had a career and by 20 I was looking to buy something that defined who I was, one day while in NH I stopped at a used car dealership and told the saleswoman I was looking for a sports car for around $5000.00 so she brought me over to a Toyota Paseo and told me "this is a sports car it has a rear spoiler". Disappointed but not defeated I started to shift my sites on something with two wheels it just seemed logical I could get Ferrari speed for Toyota Paseo money brilliant I thought?
Only problem I now faced was my mother who to this day does not like motorcycles at all, I was living at home rent free three meals a day laundry service etc life was good and I'm going to screw this all up for a motorcycle. I started to visit a local motorcycle dealership but nobody likes a tire kicker and to top it off the MSRP on a 600cc bike was still not in my price range. It was right around this time my mom and stepdad decided to have the Internet installed which gave me access to eBay and this is how I found my first bike in Canada of all the places. The 2002 Honda CBR F4i was just being phased out by the newer improved model the Honda 600rr and the F4i was discounted but still not enough to make it affordable for me. After a few emails of haggling back-and-forth we agreed on a price the next step was getting a loan and I remember it felt like I was signing my life away funny how the chase for something is always more fun than the end result of your dream?
The day that my bike arrived I drove to yellow shipping with my pick up that had no pick up I had prepared for this day weeks in advance my dad provided me with a steal grate to use as a ramp and plenty of tie-down straps. I remember seeing her for the first time surrounded by a giant steel erector set looking crate 3' x 10'. I was told to pull my truck up to the loading ramp and we pushed the crate onto my truck. Just before I took off the yellow shipping employee suggested I put two air bags made out of cardboard on either side of the crate as to suggest I needed all the help I could get? When I arrived home I immediately got to work first by removing the giant cardboard box covering the steel crate then by removing the steal crate very carefully while still in the back of my Mazda B2300 pick up. Now normally after the sides of a crate are removed the dealership will hoist the bike up and slide the bottom of the crate out however I was by myself in a residential neighborhood of Saugus so my only option was to cut the base of the crate apart with a hacksaw and remove the motorcycle.
My dad always told me when removing a tire from a car to always place the spare tire under the car just in case the jack slips. The moment I had eagerly awaited had now arrived to free my motorcycle from the back of my pickup and onto the pavement I picked up the ramp place it on the edge of the tailgate and because the price was right I placed the two cardboard air bags under the ramp I started to roll down backwards first the rear wheel was on the ramp then the front wheel when all of a sudden the bike dropped about 4 inches straight down I still didn't know what had happened so I released the front brake and rolled safely off the ramp and onto the pavement and put the kickstand down, success!
What had happened on the ramp you ask? Well I never secured the ramp to the truck so it just slid off the back of the tailgate when I was completely on it and the only thing that saved my ass was those two cardboard yoga ball shaped airbags I'll never be able to explain how I balanced on that motorcycle while rolling backwards on top of two airbags but I did and this is how I got my first motorcycle.”
