For Sale: 1967 Ford Mustang in Plano, Texas

Vehicle Description

Really nice ’67 Mustang.  Body seams are straight and tight and she looks really good in red. This car gets a lot of attention everywhere she goes. As you can see, she has had lots of work done and I’ve just finished it up so she’s ready to jump in and go.

Engine: Very strong running Ford 289 (Car is Factory  C-coded 289).  It has the Edelbrock Performance Package with Aluminum Performer 289 Intake, Edelbrock 1406 4-Barrel Carburetor with Electric Choke, and Chrome Air Cleaner. It has Pertronix Flame Thrower Coil, Pertronix Ignitor Electronic Ignition, and Taylor Performance Wires. The engine is very clean and shows well with ribbed aluminum valve covers.

Recent work done:
New Oil Pan and Gasket

New Rear Main Seal

New Motor Mounts

Carburetor gone through – cleaned, all new gaskets, adjusted

New Fuel Lines and Filters

New Plugs

New 5 Year Battery

Oil Change

Radiator flush and new coolant

New Fan Shroud

Transmission: Borg Warner T5 5-Speed. Transmission and clutch are perfect and having overdrive is nice at higher speeds to tone everything down. New transmission mount just installed.

Brakes: She has Manual 4 wheel drum brakes that stop the car really well. Just had rear brakes machined, new brake lines, and she got some new shoes.  I thought about putting disc brakes up front, but these brakes stop well and with the manual transmission it’s very easy to slow her down.

Steering: She has manual steering which has been gone through and inspected, adjusted, and aligned.  Takes a little effort from a dead stop, but after she is rolling any at all she is a breeze. I prefer the manual steering as it keeps you in touch with the car and there are no leaking power steering parts or engine clutter, but there are lots of steering options out there if someone wanted to change.

All the suspension has been gone through and either tightened, lubricated, or replaced as needed.

The rear end is the Ford 8 inch with low gears. I did the “count the drive shaft rotations” method to determine they were 3:80 (I don’t swear to this – just per the rotation method). But, I know they are low as it’s a real ground-hugger in first gear. You can easily get scratch in first or second gear (if you are into that sort of thing).  “Get Scratch” probably tells you my age so I only do it by accident, but you won’t be in first gear long. I don’t even use it sometimes. She is very aggressive down there.

Dual exhaust through Headers and Flowmasters with recently added  H-Pipe and dual chrome twin tips. She sounds really good and all the neighbors come out when I get her fired up.

The interior is clean with new dashpad, headliner, door panels, handles, Mustang Floormats, etc. I added some red to the interior as I thought it needed a little flash, but the car will also come with the black door panels, black rubber Mustang floor mats, and driver side remote mirror if someone wanted to change to all black. She has digital electronic Voltmeter, Temperature and Tach. I’ve never seen the temp over 178 degrees. Has a Kenwood CD / Iphone / Stereo with detachable face, remote, and Pioneer speakers.

This is a really nice looking 67 that you can drive. Absolutely no leaks on this car – which if you know much about these cars that is unusual. I have all the receipts for all work available to see (I would advise asking for that from anyone that claims work has been done). She has been completely inspected and gone through by the local Vintage Mustang Shop and ready to cruise.

Offers / Trades Considered (Trade for Older / Classic Corvette, Chevelle, Mustang, etc).
