Vehicle Description
This beautifully restored, "numbers matching, 1967 beetle, in
original Savannah Beige, red interior, beige carpet with only 60K
miles garners a "two thumbs up" and glowing comments wherever it
goes. It is totally original in nearly every respect, with
exception of the 2" lowered front end, front disc brakes and sporty
5-lug chrome wheels. The paint is in overall excellent condition,
as is the car's interior and undercarriage. The engine, its'
associated components and compartment are immaculate, as is the
trunk. All gauges, lights, wipers, etc. are in good working order.
The car runs, handles and stops with no issues and is a pleasure to
drive. The sunroof is in good working order with no leaks, but the
seal's cloth covering has deteriorated. All gauges, lights and
wipers are in good working order. The 1500 cc engine and 4-speed
floor shift transmission provides very peppy, acceleration. This is
a fun car to drive, maneuvers well, and will cruise easily at 60-65
mph on the open road.
The 1967 VW Beetle is one of the most sought after VW's, as a
"one-year-only" production, especially with the optional sunroof.
It is also notable that 1967 was the last year for the unique
tubular style front and rear bumpers with guards. The car comes
equipped with the original spare tire and four hubcaps, as well as
the original jack and tool kit. This car won a Favorite 40 at the
annual Adirondack Car Enthusiasts "Under The Lights" show in Hudson
Falls, August of 2014.
