1968 Chevrolet Corvette 427/ 435 in Saratoga Springs, NY
In the collector car field some cars have to wait to get their due
respect. The C3 Corvette's time has come. 1968 marked the
introduction of the C3 Corvette based on the Mako Mark II show car.
The C3 would remain in production until 1982. While the cosmetics
changed only a little over the years, the same could not be said of
the engines. Over the years twenty different motor options were
offered from the "California" 305 to the 454 LS's.
This 1968 C3 offered for action is an extraordinary example of the
first year of production. This bronze with black interior
convertible is an all number matching model that was frame-off
restored 12 years ago. It is powered by its original 427/435, 3X2
solid lifter engine.
