This is one of the nicest 50's 4 x 4's you'll ever drive! This '55
Studebaker truck is not only aside from the norm, but absolutely a
blast to cruise around in. This is really an exceptional truck in
that it's lived with the same owner for over 40 years, and has been
treated to a complete restoration, with modifications in all the
right places.
Big inch Cadillac power, strong rebuilt drive train, Air
Conditioning! Power steering and brakes! This truck drives down the
road so nicely you just won't believe it.
All functions on the truck work properly. You definitely see this
Stude coming down the road with it's bright Canary yellow paint,
and it's tough lookin' 4 wheel drive lifted stance.
Commonly with a truck of this vintage, and in 4 X 4 configuration
with big wheels and tires, you typically might give up some
drive-a-ability. Not the case with this truck. This '55 drives
straight and true even at road speed, and brakes nice and
even. It steers easily, and with A/C and heat, and those new
comfortable seats...I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The truck shows no rust anywhere on the body, frame, rocker areas,
floor pans, or the custom bed. Those are custom stainless front and
rear bumpers that includes a 3rd brake light, and a receiver
hitch.
As mentioned above, all of the glass is new as well as the
weatherstripping, and the wiring assembly, most every component
really.
The truck starts right up and runs easily with no issues, and the
dual exhaust has a nice non-droning tone.
This Studebaker truck presents an opportunity to not only own
something unique, but this is a truck that you could drive every
day in any circumstance, have fun with, and be comfortable cruising
anywhere!
