This 1971 Porsche 911 S Targa is finished in special order
Albert Blue with Beige/Tan Leather.
This is Targa # 702 of 788 produced in 1971.
Sold new on June 29, 1971 at Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville,
Florida with 23 miles.

Restored back to its original colors and color matched to
its factory original paint color. The car was stripped to bare
metal and sprayed using correct single stage paints, as used at the
factory.
Original floors.
All rubber seals replaced on the body. Brand new Sigla Windshield
installed, all new deco moldings. New bumper guards. New badging,
window trim and seals, factory Porsche targa seal, door seals.
Correct metal front bumper.
The interior has been completely recovered in tan leather as per
the COA; a new carpet kit installed. The seats were gone
through and sorted while being reupholstered. A new dash was fitted
and looks fantastic. A new correct dash speaker is wired to
the restored correct 1971 Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio. All
the gauges were freshly restored and refinished where needed by
Seattle Speedometer. The clock works!
A new 400mm wood steering wheel was installed and the factory
butterfly horn button was refreshed and installed. When you hit
that horn button you hear that blast from the dual trumpet
horns. Turn signals work nicely, however the return in one
direction does not work. The windshield squirters and wipers work
nicely and all the washer system is new from the bottle to the
squirter. The ignition switch was rebuilt and works as new. Hazard
lights work. Headlight switch works great as do all the lights down
to the dome light from both doors. Also the little map
light.
The doors have been gone through, windows roll up and down nicely
on both sides. On the passenger side the window towards the very
top is a little stiff. Doors lock and unlock smoothly and open and
close nicely. The doors have been fitted with the now impossible to
get new nice fitting door pockets from Germany. The targa top
has been rebuilt using the correct materials.
Brand new fuel tank, Porsche fuel pump (on the body) and fuel lines
are new. The MFi is in good condition. Fuel filer counsel had been
cleaned and new fuel filter installed.
The engine on the car is sound. No smoke. Very dry. Recent valve
adjustment. Cams were checked and valve covers resurfaced.
Fuel system was set up and tuned along with the ignition, brand new
fuel injectors installed too. A new muffler and MFi heat exchanger
was correctly painted (Stoddard exhaust paint) and installed. The
work was done by David Loop here on the Monterey Peninsula. He also
did the brakes, which consisted of sorting the calipers, redoing
the emergency brake, installing new pad, rotors and lines at all 4
wheels and bleeding and adjusting. He also installed new 930 tie
rods to improve the steering the response and feel. A new
speedometer cable, transmission ground strap, battery ground straps
along with various other tasks.
A new engine to body gasket was installed. New
Interstate 911 special batteries.

Rare and highly desirable H1 Headlights.
All 5 correct wheels were refinished by Wheel Dynamics and done in
the correct 1971 two step anodizing. They are fitted with
Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, sporting new Porsche lug nuts and
new Porsche center caps (except the spare).
The books, tools, spare and jack will be presented to the new
owner.
