1957 Rambler Rebel Sedan in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania

Vehicle Description

In 1957 American Motors debuted the Rebel as a high performance vehicle. This was the first time a large block 327 cubic inch V8 was installed in a mid-size car. Many considered this the first muscle car. All Rebels were 4 door hardtops equipped with the 327 cubic inch engine. This Rebel has the four-speed Hydramatic transmission, dual exhaust, heavy duty suspension, and front sway bar. The Rebel was capable of 0 to 60 MPH acceleration in just 7.5 seconds. The only faster production car in 1957 was the fuel injected 1957 Corvette.

This Rebel was one family owned since new and shows 48,000 actual miles. Only 1,500 were produced with only about a dozen surviving according to the Nash registry. All Rebels were silver with copper anodized aluminum panel inserts along the side. Equipped with power steering and power brakes. This Rebel also has a padded dash, padded sun visors, and a radio with the center trunk mounted antenna. This Rebel has had one repaint. The chrome and interior are original. The car starts, runs, and drives like a low mileage car should. Everything is in working order. All she needs is a new owner.
