This was the first Edsel delivered to Eck Ford in Wichita, Kansas in October of 1958. The owner, Rusty Eck, fell in love with it and decided to keep it until 1966 and at that time sold it to a local person who rebuilt the engine and transmission. Eck Ford purchased the car back in the late 90s with 38K miles and they refinished it back to the original colors of Desert Tan over President Red. When the elder Mr. Eck passed away his sons sold the Edsel to a Florida collection where it has been ever since. The car is equipped with the “thrifty 6” and standard three speed transmission. It has 5 new wide whitewall radial tires and air conditioning has been added. The paint and chrome look good as well as the interior which is in very good condition. Rides and drives very well.
