1967 Corvette For Sale- L71 427/435hp Tri-Power, Numbers Matching
Engine LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1967 Chevrolet
Corvette Convertible 427/435HP. The 1967 Corvette Sting Ray was the
last Corvette of the second generation, and five years of
refinements made it the best of the line. The 427/435HP L71 Sting
Ray would be the high-water mark of Corvette performance and
refinement for the C2 series of cars. Changes were modest with five
smaller front fender vents replacing the three larger ones and the
flat-finish rockers conferred a lower profile. New was a single
backup light mounted above the license plate and the previous
models' wheel covers were exchanged for the new design. Interior
alterations included revised upholstery and the handbrake moved
from beneath the dash to between the seats. The 427/435hp came
standard from the factory with the Holley triple two-barrel
carburetor arrangement called Tri-Power. The rare L71 engine
package cost the original buyer an extra $437.10 on the GM order
form. Finished in its correct paint color of Rally Red with black
"Stinger" hood and black leather interior, this stunning 1967
Corvette Roadster showcases all options one would desire in a mid
year. Starting with the most sought after of the C2 cars, , a
numbers matching L71 Tri-Power version of Chevrolet's legendary 427
cubic inch engine connected to a number's matching close ratio M21
Muncie 4 speed transmission. As a touch of performance and style,
the car has the optional side mount exhaust and bolt on wheels with
redline bias ply tires. Completing the list of options are the
previously mentioned black leather interior, telescopic steering
wheel, tinted glass, AM/FM radio and auxiliary body color hardtop.
Having been carefully restored by a marque specialist while under
the scrutiny of a noted collector, the finish of this car is
stunning. The combination of the optional L71 powerhouse engine,
the 4-speed close ratio transmission, and being a convertible
finished in Rally Red, this 1967 Corvette L71 Roadster has a very
desirable option group. Documented with a tank sticker, numbers
