The Silver Cloud model, introduced in 1955 started a new design era for Rolls-Royce. The SC I was produced through 1959 and was the flagship of the manufacturer.
The particular Rolls has traveled only 57,900 miles and has full documentation from the day it was sold new, including the names of the 3 previous longtime owners. Perhaps the finest Silver Cloud I in existence, it has received fourteen first place or best of show awards in concours events.
The last owner purchased the Rolls in 1995 and proceeded to improve on the quality of the car. Although it had rear factory air conditioning, the owner added a separate system for the front seat area. Any wood that needed refinishing was attended to by experts. Although the leather was good, the owner decided to have it replaced with new Connelly leather at Vantage Motors- one of the finest Rolls restoration shops in the United States. Over the next 21 years, the mechanicals were attended to by experts as well. All invoices totaling over $90,000 are carefully stored with this Rolls.
