Vehicle Description
This beautiful DeSoto club coupe is about 95 percent original. It
began as virtually a rust-free car with the body professionally
restored and painted (10-12/2015) in Regal Blue Metallic, to match
its' "twin" DeSoto 4-door sedan, by the same owner. The original
color was black and the interior upholstery is a deep Navy blue
ribbed velour, with matching door panels and coordinating headliner
and cut pile carpet. This car has not yet been shown but is entered
in the Lake George Nationals, September 7-10 2017, along with its'
"twin" DeSoto 4-door sedan.
The car features the same Chrysler 237 cid L-Head engine and
3-speed Fluid Drive transmission as in the 4-door sedan, which will
cruise easily at highway speeds. This car, like its' matching
4-door sedan, is an unusually comfortable ride and the rear seat
passengers can easily relax with both arm and footrests while
cruising down the road. The engine, components and bay are all
detailed as original - with exception of the wiring.
All chrome and stainless moldings are either original or NOS, as
are all bezels, hood ornament and emblems and it has four brand new
whitewall tires. The interior garnish moldings have been repainted
in original Crystal Gray Metallic, and the dash is a coordinating
blue.
All gauges, lights and wipers are in good working order. It comes
with a MOPAR 808 radio and escutcheon (uninstalled), as well as
many other NOS parts such as a set of brake shoes, emergency brake
drum, temperature, amp and gas gauges, ignition switch
(uninstalled) keyed alike to door locks, color matched fender
skirts and a CASCO spinner knob.
