Overview:
Here is a very cool 1962 Cadillac series 62 2dr ht. This is a long
time Arizona car that is a great cruiser just the way it sits. It
has great patina right now or would need a light cosmetic
restoration to be truly excellent. There was recently a lot of
money spent on the car including a completely brand new interior,
new sound system, new Coker tires and fully serviced mechanically.
This car has a lot of potential and a fun car just the way it is.
It has a great color combination and great looks.
Options/Equipment:
Exterior:
This car has an older paint job done in its original color of very
pretty turquoise. The paint is showing its age and would need to by
painted to be a show car. All of the chrome and trim is original
and is showing its age. Again it would all need to be redone to be
like new again. The car is 95% rust free as it has been an Arizona
car for most of its life. The under side of the car is solid as a
rock and totally rust free. The only rust in the car is some
bubbling on the left front fender and a gold ball size hole and
some bubbling on the lower right side rocker. All very easy fixes.
If you wanted to leave the car as is, it still looks very cool with
its patina and has tons of eye ball. The car is sitting on its
original wheels, original fully polished hubcaps and new Coker
tires.
Interior:
The interior was completely redone in turquoise and white vinyl. It
has new seat covers, new carpet, new door panels, new headliner,
new dash pad and new trunk material. All the power window motors
were replaced including the vent windows. It also has all new door,
window and trunk weather-stripping. The car has a custom installed
JL Audio Bluetooth stereo system that sounds great. The steering
wheel has some cracks, some of the interior chrome has some
pitting, the power locks don’t work heater core has a leak and
power seat does not tilt. Those are things that need attention on
the car yet.
Mechanically:
The car runs and drives excellent. It shows only 58K miles, which
could be original. It always starts on the first try. The car has a
new battery, new alternator, new engine and trans fluid and new
brake fluid. It was lowered with new Jamco coils and shocks for a
very nice looking stance. The air conditioning is all there but
needs to be serviced. This is a fun driver just the way it
sits.
