For Sale: 1929 Ford 5-Window Coupe in Arlington, Texas

This is a well-built and very cool little rat rod based on a 1929 5-window coupe. Ready to go just in time for shows and to cruise this summer!

It is powered by a built 402ci Big Block Chevy engine with an Edelbrock intake manifold and Holley 750cfm carburetor attached to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission with a 9 inch Ford/3.5 Positraction rear-end. The whole drivetrain has only 4,000 miles on it and includes a new radiator, electric fan, starter, fuel pump and transmission cooler. A new custom dual exhaust runs through Flowmasters all the way to the pipes sticking out just right from the rear of the car. It gets fuel from a new 12 gallon tank located in the rear of the car.

The rod sits on a 1929 frame with 4-bar drop axle front-end with steering stabilizer, new Bilstien's in front and air shocks in the back set to 40 lbs for a good ride. The front brakes are from a 1941 Lincoln with a whopping 11 inches of stopping power that are assisted by a new master cylinder with drums in the rear. The brakes all the way around have just been replaced including the wheel cylinders. She sits on classic 15 inch Ford "steelies" with wide white Coker tires that are like new. It has been painted in "primer" color bronze with pinstriping, new door handles, taillights and classic chrome headlights up front on either side of the 1931 Ford truck grille.

The interior is detailed and painted like the rest of the car with a new bench seat, stainless steel floors, Lokar "8-Ball" shifter, custom pinstriping, Stewart Warner gauges, new window regulators and a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo hidden under the dash.

A lot of money has gone in this rat rod to make it look like one but it performs like a well-built street rod.
