Chevrolet Corvette for consideration. The C5 Corvette line was
vastly improved over previous generations and is consider one the
best performance values available today. With its 50/50 weight
distribution and nimble handling, it's tough to beat a C5 for all
around sheer driving enjoyment. The Z06 is Corvettes pinnacle of
performance and is capable of 0-60 times in less than 4 seconds and
governed top speeds in excess of 170 mph. These are staggering
numbers for its day (and to this day) and was considered one of the
worlds top performers. With a price tag of just over $50,000.00
dollars, the Z06's could hang with cars over 5 times the cost.
The Z06 offered here was purchased new at Kool Chevrolet of Okemos,
MI and has remained under the constant care of the original owner
until present day. The car is powered by its 5.7 liter 405hp
sequential fuel injection V8 engine, 6 speed manual transmission
and rear wheel drive with 3.42 ratio. Features included: Active
handling, 4 wheel independent suspension, power front and rear disc
brakes, power speed sensitive rack and pinion steering, limited
slip differential, aluminum 5 spoke wheels, oil life monitoring
system, driver and passenger airbags (airbag off switch for
passanger, 4-wheel anti lock brakes, remote keyless entry, pass-key
II theft deterrent system, power heated outside mirrors,
retractable halogen headlamps, titanium mufflers and tailpipes.
Interior features include: AM / FM stereo CD with Bose speakers,
dual zone electronic A/C, carpeted floor mats, driver information
center, heads up display, cruise control with resume, intermittent
wiper system, leather seating surfaces, leather wrapped tilt
steering wheel, 6 way power driver seat, power door locks and
windows, electric rear window defogger and remote decklid and fuel
door release. Options include: Z06 equipment, memory package,
electrochromic mirrors.
Today after nearly 15 years of responsible ownership and care, at
11564 miles this Z06 presents its self in outstanding condition in
all areas and aspects of the car. The red exterior paint, wheels,
interior and engine bay all appear as new. The performance of this
Z06 is amazing, powerful and responsive with great handling and
outstanding braking.
The Corvette has been an icon of American performance since 1953.
The C5 ZO6 when new was considered the best bang for the buck in
