Vehicle Description
The Pontiac Firebird was first introduced in 1967 and continued
through 2002. The Trans-Am shared the platform with the Chevrolet
Camaro and they were soon instant hits with the consumer.
Through the years, the Trans-Am cars were powered by various
four-cylinder, six-cylinder and V8 engines.
The fourth generation cars were built from 1993 through the
discontinuation in 2002. This generation of the F-body continued
the aerodynamic formula initiated by the previous generation. The
Camaro kept the exposed headlights and the Firebird its pop-up
units, with some minor changes.
In 1998 the car received a face lift dominated by a new front
fascia that now had four pop-up headlights vs. the two from before.
It also had some other minor body changes.
The 2000 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am T-top offered here is dressed in
a beautiful coat of pewter metallic over a black interior. This car
has been owned by its second owner for the last 17 years in a
private collection. It is powered by a 5.7 L v8 paired with an
automatic 4 speed transmission. In 2003 the engine was replaced by
Sieman's Ford/Pontiac/Chrysler. It is equipped with front and rear
disc brakes, air conditioning, power steering, power locks, power
windows, power brakes, power steering, center console, front bucket
seats, tilt wheel and factory Monsoon sound system. The car handles
well and is a blast to drive.
