Vehicle Description
For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom
is a 1929 Ford Model A Tudor. This one is panted in traditional
Henry Ford black over gray cloth and has an original appearance.
The restoration is older giving the car a nice patina. One great
upgrade is the 12-volt conversion. This makes for quick start ups
and brighter headlights. You never know with a 6-volt system. The
slow turn over never sounds like it will fire. With the 12 volt, no
problem! Bias ply black wall tires and gray spokes with hubcaps add
to the look. Considering the older restoration, one can enjoy "as
is" or freshen things up as it's enjoyed, a little here and a
little there. The Model A should be in every serious collection,
they're fun, easy to drive, parts are plentiful and they always
draw attention. The Model A replaced the Model T in 1928 and was an
incredible improvement. One of Ford's biggest issues with the Model
T was the difficult and complex operating procedures. The Model A
addressed this and offered what we consider today as a standard
form of operation with the clutch pedal on the left, brake in the
middle and of course gas on the right. You still had throttle and
timing controls on the steering column. The Model A ran from 1928
to 1932 and production reached 4,858,644! Call our Dallas showroom
