For Sale at Auction: 1975 Yamaha MX250 in Uncasville, Connecticut
The Yamaha MX250 was produced from 1973-75. This year's MX250 is
the machine made for winners to ride. It was designed after Yamahas
that have captured national and international MX championships. One
of the most important design features that experts claim keeps the
Yamaha in the winner's circle is the monocross suspension. It's
much more efficient than the conventional suspension systems, with
the top end of the shock absorbing mechanism connected forward
under the tank area, yielding a much longer stroke capability. This
gives the rear wheel more traction over rough terrain for a
smoother, more controlled ride. The MX250 also has a center-mount
exhaust and expansion chamber, CDI ignition, lightweight
aluminum-alloy rims and hubs. Yamahas exclusive Torque Induction
intake system gives more pulling power in the low and medium
ranges. This classic dirt bike has been completely restored to
show-quality condition and it has never had gas put in it since the
restoration. Previously, it was owned by well-known Greg Primm and
displayed in the Primm MX Museum located in Las Vegas, NV. The
frame numbers and engine numbers match. It's powered by a 246cc
single-cylinder engine with 5-speed manual transmission. This is a
great piece of MX history. From the MS Classic Cars Collection.
