Vehicle Description
This is one of only 89 right-hand-drive Amphicars ever produced. A
true survivor, this example has 1,450 original miles (mileage not
indicated on ownership document). It features an advanced
undercoating and blackout dash. All gauges and switches are
original, have been cleaned and are fully operational. A
high-performance bilge pump with high-volume output keeps the hull
dry. A bilge blower removes fumes, and front and rear navigation
lights all make it seaworthy. European VIN plate and rear
reflectors complete the detail. The interlocking navigation light
operates when the prop shafts are engaged. With an outstanding
original interior, this example spent several decades in a museum
and current ownership has been long-term. The Amphi has undergone a
sympathetic restoration that included new paint throughout,
cleaning and a comprehensive mechanical refreshing. Fuel, brake
systems, and carburetors have been completely redone, and the car
otherwise has been kept as original as possible. This is truly an
exceptional Amphicar from one of the smallest production runs. It
comes complete with original jack, original owner's manual,
original tool kit, life jackets and paddle.
