We recently purchased this Toronado from the previous older Washington State owner and as you can tell in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy for sure !! I say EXTREMELY RARE as only 3,957 - Code "9487" - Toronado Hardtops were built in 1968 !! It still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - firewall mounted Oldsmobile data plate - FACTORY ORIGINAL - dash mounted Oldsmobile VIN tag and an - ORIGINAL STYLE - 1968 Oldsmobile owner's manual, all of which are shown in several pictures. At the heart of this Toronado Hardtop is the VERY STRONG !! - REBUILT - FACTORY ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING !! - Code "F" - (375 Horsepower from the factory !!) 455 CID "Rocket V8" motor that is running very well indeed and also sports the ORIGINAL 4 barrel intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL valve covers, ORIGINAL "Rocket 455" scripted air cleaner housing and the ORIGINAL 4 barrel carburetor. Sounds GREAT too with the "THROATY" factory style true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The engine is backed by a - SMOOTH - REBUILT - Three speed - "THM-425" - Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission which is also functioning very well. The BEAUTIFUL !! The suspension and drive line all seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. This Toronado was originally equipped with factory air conditioning but the compressor, lines and the evaporator have been removed. They will be included with the car but will need to be installed to get the A/C system working again. All of the ORIGINAL Chrome and Stainless Steel exterior body trim and moldings are in NICE condition including a NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front bumper, Good ORIGINAL Chrome rear bumper and NICE ORIGINAL badging. Take a look at the AWESOME CUSTOM polished aluminum American Racing "Torq Thrust SL" wheels wrapped in good steel belted radial tires, boy does this combination look OUTSTANDING on this Toronado and really give it that CLEAN - "CUSTOM" look !! The Clean - Solid trunk also sports an ORIGINAL Oldsmobile rubber liner, the ORIGINAL jack and lug wrench and what appears to be the FACTORY ORIGINAL whitewall spare tire !!
