Vehicle Description
Porsche engineers don't make mistakes very often, but the U.S.-spec
2.7-liter 911s built between 1975 and 1977 were plagued with engine
problems when new. In 1978, Porsche put those problems behind them
with the introduction of the brilliant 3.0 liter 911SC. Porsche now
finally mated a body that was capable of lasting indefinitely with
an engine that was capable of lasting nearly that long. Well
maintained 911SCs are capable of 300,000 miles between rebuilds.
This Targa is just one of 3,120 produced for 1981. An all original
car with great maintenance history from the current owner. The
matching numbers engine and transmission were fully rebuilt at
98,000 miles with tune ups since then. The original Schwarz
Metallic paint still shines up very nicely. The front seats do show
wear but for a car that is 35 years old and original, that's to be
expected. It is an A/C car but the compressor is not installed but
does come with the car. The car runs very strong and shifts nice
and smooth. The buyer will also receive a car cover and a folder of
receipts. These particular Porsches seem to still be on the rise in
the market. Buy this one now!! Rear Window Defroster,Power
