This little Volkswagen "BUG" Convertible with only 54,215 Original miles is a real find! This BEAUTY drives a new VW! We just purchased this car from 2nd owner who lives in California and bought it in 1970 as you can clearly see in the pictures this was her pride and joy. She was very meticulous about his car it shows. This car is not your average old VW Beetle Convertible that is worn out with a new paint job. This Bug has a rust free body even at the battery tray, between body and fenders, see pictures, it was kept in her garage the whole time when it was not being driven. The entire interior is Original. The Original black convertible top is in excellent and condition. Also all of the original rubber weather-stripping and windows are in great shape. Cars like this were quite a novelty in their day to say the least but now, in this kind of shape? What a find! Any Bug enthusiast should be pleased to own this BEAUTY. I drove this over the Donner and Altamont passes and around town and on the freeway and in California rush hour traffic and I can assure you this car runs and drives well. It really does well on the freeway at highway speeds 70 MPH no problem, even over the Altamont pass. I drove this car almost 1000 miles after I bought it and would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. It has the - STRONG – Original - 1500cc Single Port Air Cooled Volkswagen four cylinder motor in it that is running VERY WELL. The previous owner had a VW specialty shop do all the maintenance on it over the 47 years she owned it. It still has the stock style exhaust system. The Red paint is nice with really little to no wear showing other than a few small chips and imperfections and is bright, shiny and looks STUNNING as you can clearly see in the picture. The Black vinyl interior is VERY NICE and looks BEAUTIFUL including VERY NICE Original Black Vinyl front bucket seats that show a little wear on the driver’s side where the seat belt crosses it, VERY NICE Original Black Vinyl rear seat, NICE Original floor mats, NICE ORIGINAL steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL gauge cluster, Original Vinyl Sunvisors and original black dash pad. In my opinion you're not going to find a much nicer INTERIOR on a 49-year-old car than the one in this car. This VW Convertible is nicely equipped including working power wipers, original gauge cluster, AM FM Cassette Stereo , Dual Chrome exterior side view mirrors, Original taillights, seat belts, nice rubber weather-stripping, good glass with Vent windows. The CLEAN - SOLID - "front trunk" still retains the Original cardboard covering, Jack, Lug Wrench, Full Sized Spare Tire and Original Washer bottle. This is a QUALITY car that drives very well and is nice and tight. It is a really COOL little vehicle. Check out the VERY NICE Original wheels, wheel covers and new steel belted radial tires, boy does this combination look outstanding on this BEAUTY and really gives it that Bone stock look. The front and rear bumpers are in nice shape! This is a nice Classic collector VW Convertible!
