Vehicle Description
You might want to start apologizing to your spouse now. Because
when you can have a fully-inspected, ready-to-run 1980 Gambler
Sprint Car, all your weekends will be filled with racing from now
on.
This is not a barn find or an incomplete project. You can tell that
immediately from the condition of the body and chassis. Instead,
this racer has benefited from constant solid investments in keeping
it well maintained. It was even fully rebuilt correctly a few years
ago. In fact, the full frame was stripped, sandblasted, and after
all the welds were checked, it received a full powder coating.
Since then, it hasn't seen the dust of a dirt track.
That's why we know it's such an alluring combination of quality
racer with vintage competition abilities. And that's especially
true because this track car is already safety inspected for USAC,
SCCA, SVRA, and DAARA.
Because this is a true race-ready machine, we know you're
interested in what's under the hood. It's a 350 cubic-inch
four-bolt main that's been bored and stroked to 358ci total. Kenny
Hahn did the work on the motor, so you know it's strong. Plus, it
has go-fast goodies like high performance heads, Edelbrock intake,
and Schoenfeld ceramic coated headers. An engine this special has
only ever been run on PENN oil. And because it's setup for 100
octane, the horsepower is rated at a forceful 500. And because
power is nothing without control, it has a Halibrand rear end and a
Wilwood brake system. Since these are direct drive vehicles, you
get short track and long track gears with the sale. That way, you
can choose where you want to be each weekend.
We've got the full details on what has gone into creating the
perfect budget racer, so give us a call, and we'll share all the
names and specs. We might even give you a few excuses to tell your
significant other why you need to be out of the house more.
