Vehicle Description
This 1970 Dodge Charger was just freshly built with the art of
horsepower in mind. It's a labor of love that includes a ton of
custom work wrapped in slick paint, custom interior, and
custom-built 512ci monster under the hood - this coupe is the
product of when someone decides that only the best will do.
The bright red paint immediately grabs your attention with an extra
deep clearcoat that's worth every penny... and that's far from the
only thing that keeps all eyes focused on this coupe. It perfectly
blends old and new world styles, and it all starts with the iconic
'70 Charger silhouette. It has a performance image that's burned
into our minds thanks to Hollywood stardom in Bullitt, The Dukes of
Hazzard, etc. But you can instantly tell that this one is a unique
creation all of its own. All the panels have been expertly smoothed
and integrated, and it all now shows the kind of precision gaps
that come from a serious investment. So pay close attention,
because everything from the drip rails to the door scoops have been
removed so this car has a butter-smooth surface. In fact, keeping
it all so smooth mean removing items like door handles and the
trunk lock (now on remote solenoids) to make sure that nothing got
in the way of the wave-free shine. Plus, we know Mopar guys are
going to love how the front grille surround is now body-colored to
make the covered headlights look even more sinister - like a large
mouth ready consume all the lesser cars out there. And in the back,
the rear end was made into a single piece, and the bumper was
color-matched to continue this seamless presentation. And while
there was a lot of planning that went into giving this restomod the
full custom red package, there was still plenty of room for
American brightwork. You see it on everything from the flip-up fuel
cap to the large Boyds billet wheels (18/20-inch front/rear). We
could list all of the investments in the exterior, but then we'd
run out of room to go over all the work on the interior and
drivetrain! So call for all the details.
The black of the grille and custom Dodge stripes on the outside are
the perfect complement to introduce the full black interior.
Everything from the bucket seats, to the door panels, to the
carpeting looks deep, dark, and quite fresh. But Mopar fans will
also instantly recognize a very cool feature. When Legendary
Interiors restored the inside, they gave it the more personal setup
that came from another legendary Mopar cousin, the Hemi 'Cuda. So
not only do you get some pretty cool glances from those who know
how special this is, but also this is a much more driver-oriented
setup. Everything from the full gauge panel (including large tach)
to upgraded retrosound radio (w/CD changer) are all part of a front
panel directed at you. It makes for the perfect enveloping
atmosphere for everything from the modern Billet Specialties
steering wheel, to the classic gearstick sticking out of the bright
center console.
We will tell you right now that there will never be enough room on
this web page to go over all the amazing details of this engine's
custom build (so call to get the full picture.) After all that
massive motor started life as a 440 cubic-inch V8 crate motor with
535 hp... and that was BEFORE a serious investment in performance
components! It's now a 512ci stroker motor that's been fortified
with United Engine ICON forged pistons, Total Seal rings, forged
crankshaft, forged connecting rods, Comp Cam hydraulic camshaft,
and so much more. Not only Is the full package balanced, but it
also has great performance upgrades Edelbrock aluminum heads,
Edelbrock intake, and a set of long tube headers that help create
the thundering exhaust. Making sure that all this power is getting
to the pavement is a stout TCI Street Fighter A727 three-speed
automatic transmission w/3,200 RPM stall to keep you in the best
powerband. And since power is nothing without control, the
suspension has been fully upgraded. It now includes a new Magnum
Force front suspension with thick Mancini sway bar, KYB rear
shocks, power steering, and a Wilwood four-wheel disc brake
package.
This was already a rare Mopar before the custom work began, and now
it's a one-of-a-kind dream custom. So this is a once in a lifetime
opportunity on a Mopar that was built to win awards and eat the
streets. Don't miss out, call today!
