Being offered is a beautiful 1968 AMX fully restored. This vehicle has just finished a multi year frame off restoration to a high standard with 100 test miles. The vehicle is equipped with its original matching numbers 390 engine and Go Pack and T10 4-speed transmission, power steering and power front disc brakes. If you are an AMC enthusiast looking for a 60s muscle car to invest your money into (given the condition, color combination, engine/transmission combination, the pure curb appeal and drivability) this is a car you should consider. This car is fresh and will not disappoint from front to back and top to bottom. The pictures speak to the many of hundreds of hours and tens of thousands of dollars in restoring this car. You will not find a nicer 68 AMX anywhere.
The car is finished with a very nice Madador red paint job; it shines like glass with no swirl marks, rock chips, etc. The quarter panels, doors and fenders are all super straight. The bright work is all restored or new.
Drive line consists of a completely rebuilt numbers matching 390 engine, T10 4 speed transmission and posi rear end. It is equipped headers and torque links. A new starter, new alternator, new battery, belts, hoses, etc, etc, all complete this highly detailed engine bay.
Restoration also included all new suspension components, exhaust system, wiring harnesses, rebuilt heater box, 15” Magnum rims and red line tires. Underneath, the frame and undercarriage on this car are very neat and tidy. Interior is all new, supplied by Legendary Interiors. The gauges all work. It has an upgraded sound system while maintaining the original radio face.
