The Collector's Edition commemorated the end of C3 production which
had an incredibly successful run from 1968-1982! It was the first
Corvette to surpass the $20,000 price threshold and it has many
unique features that were not available on standard production
Corvettes. The following items are all unique to the Collector's
Edition: special Silver Beige metallic paint, special pinstripes
and fade out graphics, special bronze tinted glass tops & emblems,
unique opening hatchback rear window, unique turbine aluminum
wheels and a custom tri-tone bronze leather interior. The
Collector's Edition also came with nearly all regular production
options as standard equipment. Too often special edition models
consist of a few decals and a name plate but Chevrolet went all out
to bid farewell to the C3 with the 1982 Collectors's Edition. A lot
