Vehicle Description
Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer a fine piece of automotive
history. This 1935 Ford "Rumble Seat" Roadster is one the true
enthusiast will really enjoy! With less than 5,000 of these
gorgeous drop tops produced you can only imagine how few are left
sporting their all original Henry Ford steel. You are looking at
one of them. The quality is uncompromised! The goal of this frame
off restoration was to preserve the automobile to as near original
condition as possible while still making it safe and fun to drive.
The engine is a period correct Flathead V-8 which measures 221CID
and pumps out an impressive 85 horsepower. This engine was
completely and professionally rebuilt using main and rod bearings
instead of Babbitt bearings which were used in 1935. Also, high
volume water pumps were installed and replicated to look like the
original water pumps appearance. The entire 6 volt electrical
system has not been converted however it has been completely
re-worked to ensure a safe and fun car to drive. This one starts up
every time without an issue. The gorgeous PPG base coat/clear coat
paint gives this roadster a very nice nostalgic shine and sets off
the red leather interior with perfection. The wire wheels have been
powder coated and 1935 was the last production year for the wire
wheels. Everything on this beauty will impress and amaze a crowd
anywhere. It is a local hit and takes home trophies no matter which
show it decides to please with its gorgeous presense. For more
