Vehicle Description
This Chevelle SS convertible, RPOZ-25, was built in June at the
Kansas City plant. A meticulous, factory-correct, rotisserie
restoration was performed to the highest degree, which is evident
in every way, including the laser-straight body. Now for the
glamour, it is finished in code-52 Garnet Red with white SS side
stripes. Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced.
It's equipped with a white power convertible top, Soft Ray tinted
glass and dual mirrors. The car sits on Firestone wide-oval Super
Sport G70-14 tires. The stunning Parchment interior features
code-791 bucket seats, rare air conditioning, special
instrumentation, console and AM/FM/8-track player with four
speakers. Everything in the interior is in working order. The trunk
compartment is painted with the correct finish and houses the
matching spare tire. The engine compartment is highly detailed with
the factory markings and tags. It's home to the date-coded 396ci V8
engine. This JC-code big-block cast #3955272 with the cast date of
E-16-9 is the optional 350hp. This engine runs and sounds excellent
out the exhaust system. The engine is coupled to the cast #3925660
Muncie M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission with 11"
super-duty clutch. The power is transferred to the pavement through
the cast #3959038NF 12-bolt rear, which is dated E-19-9 with code
#CI, 3.73 posi-traction. A multitude of safety and convenience
options include power steering and power disc brakes, as well as
the ride and handling package. The attention to detail places this
highly sought-after Chevelle SS convertible 396 4-speed with air in
a class of its own. This is one beautiful classic muscle car. This
car has recently been completely serviced and detailed, which is
fully documented with an invoice. From the MS Classic Cars
Collection.
