Cadillac´s two "standard" Eldorado models got new front-end
styling in 1958. The rear body was pretty much 1957 carryover,
however, except for the addition of 10 vertical chrome trim pieces
on the lower rear body between the door and rear wheel openings.
These chrome louvers were reminiscent of those used on Sixty
Special from 1942 through 1956. There was a new, narrow "V" emblem
on the lower left corner of the rounded rear deck lid, and the
Eldorado name was spelled in small block letters beside it. Only
815 Eldorado Biarritz Style 6267-S Convertibles were built this
year. The $7.410 price tag was the same for both the convertible
and the Seville two-door hardtop.

Convertible both got Cadillac´s revised front-end styling. The new
grille was much wider and consisted of a series of fine, jewel like
metallic suds instead of the usual chrome crosshatching or "egg
crate" motif. The rubber-tipped front bumper-guards were much
smaller and were farther apart at the outer edges of the grille.
The big, chrome "Dagmar’s" had all but disappeared. The 1957 and
1958 Eldorado’s had no hood ornaments, but chrome blades capped
each front fender. Eldorado sales dropped sharply this year. Only
855 Seville Style 6237-D hardtops were sold. The Seville had a
$7,410 price tag.
In 1958 the Cadillac Motor Division of General Motors produced in excess of 121,000 luxury automobiles. Of that number only 855 were Eldorado Seville Coupes. All featured a powerful 365ci 335hp V8 engine with three carburetors. Standard equipment included power steering, power brakes, power windows and power seats.
This fine example was purchased new by Clyde J. Blesh who took the vehicle to Florida for the winter. Upon returning in the spring of 1959, with Cadillac only making 855 of that model, he decided to store it upstairs in the Central Fireproof Garage where he operated a Hudson dealership. The car continued to be stored on blocks until the early 1980’s when the building was sold by his son, Edwin J. Blesh, who then built a garage designed to store the vehicle. The vehicle remains with the original tires, engine and parts only having routine maintenance performed. It has just 11,385 original miles and is as new as you might find. It was sold new at Talley Motor Company here in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania on January 14, 1958. The car was re-registered in 2016 by the 3rd generation of owners and is now being offered for sale. It is finished in the original Desert Bronze with a Copper vinyl roof and Copper-Silver Crest cloth and Copper Metallic leather interior. A once in a lifetime opportunity.
