Vehicle Description
Stk. 2272 1974 Ford F-350 XLT Super Camper
The sixth generation of the Ford F-Series was a line of pickups
produced by Ford from 1972 to 1979. The F-350 SRW (single rear
wheel) version was introduced in 1973 as a heavy-duty (1 ton)
pickup made with contractors and camping enthusiasts in mind. It
rides on a longer 140" wheelbase, but has the same overall length
as a standard F-350. Ordering the Camper Special package for the
SRW created the 'Super Camper Special' that was designed for the
heavy slide-in campers of that era. This partially restored F-350
Super Camper Special has been in one family since new. The Teal
finish was re-applied in 1998, all of the chrome/stainless is in
good condition and exterior accents include 16" alloy wheels with
like-new radials, running boards, dual mirrors and a rear
diamond-plate bumper. The grille is from a '78 F-150 (our owner
liked the look of the updated front end). To compliment the
exterior, the cab's interior is reupholstered in teal/grey cloth.
The A/C system has been upgraded with all new components, R-134
Freon and a new fan motor. You can listen to your favorite tunes on
the Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo system. The XLT is powered by the
original drivetrain. A rebuilt (1998) 460ci '385 series' truck
engine has upgrades such as: a Pertronix Performance ignition
system, Holley 4V, reconditioned fuel system (dual tanks/lines),
80amp alternator, rebuilt HD radiator and new exhaust. The motor is
backed by a rebuilt C-6 3-speed automatic transmission.
Differential gearing is believed to be 3.73:1. The chassis is
equipped with power steering and power disc/drum brakes. A Prodigy
electric trailer brake set-up has been installed along with
fifth-wheel attachment brackets. Put this handsome F-350 workhorse
in your garage and be ready to take on any project that comes your
way. Call 800-650-1055 or visit our website at
