Vehicle Description
The Chattanooga Choo Choo is not just a Glenn Miller song, but also
a special El Camino. These cars were customized in Chattanooga, TN
by Choo Choo Customs for Chevrolet from 1983 to 1987. Only a few
thousand total were made through all five model years, 861 of them
in 1987, the El Camino's last production year.
The Choo Choo Custom El Camino was an appearance package upgrade
without additional performance enhancements. The front bumper
became an aerodynamic nose, and the front fascia and tailgate were
emblazoned with big black "SS" graphics, the doors with "El Camino
SS." The cowl induction hood was non-functional, unless you
consider looks the function. The Choo Choo Train Logo also makes an
appearance throughout, setting the car farther apart from the
run-of-the-mill.
This car is motivated by a new crate 305 V8 as the original was
damaged by overheating. The exterior has seen a careful and
complete repaint, and the interior is fresh, clean, and new. The
stereo has been upgraded, but the original is still present should
you want to play that Bon Jovi or Michael Jackson tape. Also
included is the original 1987 El Camino owner's manual, a binder
with photos documenting the restoration, plus pages and pages of
well-organized original documentation.

Lowe's, or maybe a trip with your mountain bikes to a local
