For Sale: 1923 Ford Model T in Paso Robles, California

Vehicle Description

Looking for the best value in street rodding?!  Consider this 100% REAL STEEL street rod, built with a highly detailed, fuel injected Vortec V/6 drivetrain and capable of winning at your next car show?!  If this is you, don't miss this flawlessly built, HENRY FORD 1923 '3-Door Touring' (aka Phaeton)! This amazing little beauty exemplifies quality, precision build and value - plus the WOMEN LOVE IT!  And you'll find no excuses here - no fiberglass body panels. No mechanical issues. No drivability issues. This little rod was built with overwhelming quality construction that is NOT DATED like most cars in this price range. Granted, it is a Model T - but it is also fuel injected, all steel and can win at any car show - it can even hold it's own at an indoor show!  The professional build quality shines - even more in person than in photos....

The original Henry Ford body was painstakingly restored, replacing all wood with hand-formed steel during the elaborate build. You won't find ANY fiberglass on this custom resto-rod! All of the body seams have been filled for a subtle, smooth look. The body was widened by 2.5” for added comfort (truly in-distinguishable!), and the windshield was chopped 3”. The three original doors now open with modern push-button ease - and close with a Mercedes quality 'click'! And the meticulous bodywork was carefully coated with a gorgeous Brandy Wine metallic BC/CC (base-coat clear-coat) paint borrowed from the ’99 Lexus palate. It is truly stunning!

Sun or rain – nothing will stop this car! The tan canvas custom top is easily removable.... or you can use the ‘Isinglass’ side curtains if caught in inclimate weather. The interior is impeccably stitched in a complimentary 2-tone tan color. The chrome custom gauges, Lokar floor shifter, emergency brake, illuminated gear indicator, Ididit polished aluminum tilt steering column all complement the refined interior.

The mechanics of this Model T are just as impressive as the rest of the build! With a 200HP fuel injected VORTEC V-6 and Turbo 350 automatic, she is ready to please. The engine has Sanderson headers and ceramic coated dual exhaust. New custom wiring, the engine computer and OSB port, and an Optima battery all carefully tucked under the front seat. She is cooled by a custom Walker radiator with an electric cooling fan, and DOES NOT overheat! Suspension includes a custom dropped tube axle, Pete & Jakes 4-bar suspension with Alden coil-overs (front and rear), and a custom made torsion bar in the rear. Goodyear 255-15 (rear) and 195-15 (front) tires wrap the Wheel Vintique wire wheels. Front disc (and rear drum) brakes with stainless steel brake lines stop her with ease, and her custom stainless steel gas tank was made by Rock Valley Custom.

You can drive the car anywhere, anytime, with confidence. It can sit for months…..then start up without touching anything but the key! In fact, it has accumulated just over 10,000 miles since built, although the condition reflects more like 1000 miles! She has been babied inside and out! Another nice feature is that the matching trunk is not permanently mounted, but rather mounted via a small trailer receiver hitch, so if you prefer to pull a trailer, you're ready (even includes trailer wiring)!

There is so much more to show and tell, but the best way to understand this car is to see her in person! Once you see the build quality and experience the drivability, you'll be hooked!  I've owned the car now for 10 years, but I'm going to sell it to make room (and budget) to finish my '32 Hupmobile Cabriolet. I've come to accept that it is time to let someone else enjoy "Lizzy". I really can't stress enough the quality of this build - one could not duplicate the car to this quality for two or even three times my price! However, I do realize it is still just a Model T, so I'm realistic to that fact.

Want to see more photos: email me for a link to a Photobucket account with over 100 pictures of the car (including some build photos).

Lizzy and I are located in Paso Robles, CA - which is located exactly between San Francisco and Los Angeles, on the CA Hwy 101. We are very easy to access via driving, or fly-in to nearby San Luis Obispo airport. By the way, my name is Scott.

I'm asking $38,900 – but I’ll consider all reasonable offers. Just don’t tell me that it’s too much money for a Model T – because I'll tell you to go find a car that is half as nice for the money (a task you won't be able to accomplish).  Thanks for looking.
