NO RESERVE!
In 1996, David M. Levy of David Michael Volkswagen was asked by the Board of Directors of Volkswagen of Germany to assist in the design of the iconic new Beetle for the American marketplace. In the fall of 1997, when the new Beetle was introduced to the American public, David Michael Volkswagen Brand of Freehold, New Jersey, was allocated the very first Beetle in America. The dealership decided to keep the car and it has not been driven and stored indoors for 20 years. It has just 112 original miles and is all original except the battery was recently replaced. Although all records and photos of the introduction ceremony where inadvertently discarded when the dealership was sold a few years ago, this car is nonetheless an authentic classic and holds a special place in Volkswagen history. It does come with the original owner’s manual, build sheet and video. You probably will not find a lower mileage example.
