Please contact us for more information. The 1956 Continental Mark
II was styled by a team led by William Clay Ford one of Henry
Ford\'s grandsons. No expense was spared on materials or
manufacture, much of the car was assembled by hand and cost over
10,000 in 1956 one could easily buy a house, a Rolls-Royce or tow
Cadillacs for less. Due to the high price only the rich and famous
such as Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor and President Dwight
D. Eisenhower owned the cars. Even more important the Continental
Mark II was the vehicle of choice for many of the Ford family
members. Josephine Ford, Henry Fords only granddaughter and each of
his grandsons Benson Ford, Henry Ford II and William Clay Ford all
drove the Mark II as their personal car. This 1956 Continental Mark
II two door hardtop shows 65,252 miles on the odometer, is black
with dark red and white interior using the very best imported
Scottish leather. Instrumentation includes, a tachometer,
speedometer, oil pressure, voltmeter and coolant temperature gauges
no idiot lights. A Cartier clock is also included. The car has
power steering, power brakes, four way power seat. and even power
vent windows. It also has electric headlight dimmer control, town
and country radio with separate right and left heater controls. The
only factory option, air conditioning is included as well as the
original trunk mat, spare tire and jack. The car has all new
suspension, shocks and brakes, very exceptional chrome/ stainless.
The Mark II is a very rare low production car, only about 3,000
were produced and it is estimated that only about 1,500 are still
on the road. This Mark II looks, runs and drives exceptional./p
