Vehicle Description
The appeal of this 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is as clear as black
and white - literally. A full color-match package on this
aggressive machine combined with some great performance upgrades to
the V8 creates an irresistible package at a value price.
You know you love the look of these later 2nd generation Camaros,
as we do. The angular design could have almost passed for European
if it weren't for all the aggressive Z28-style touches, like the
chin spoiler that wraps around to the wheel openings, fender vent,
and the full-length spoiler out back. Plus, that long hood scoop
always makes a great first impression. But what we enjoy most about
this one is its comprehensive packaging. The white paint has a
great shine, and it's the perfect backdrop for all the blacked-out
accents like the grille, light surrounds, and tail panel. It all
comes together on the Z/28's iconic stripe package that fades from
black to white all down the side, under the spoiler, and even on
the Air Induction hood. It's such a well-coordinated package, even
the Z/28-specific wheels are part of the color scheme. In total, it
really gives this coupe's timeless appeal.
Inside the black is the perfect complement to the exterior accent
color. The dark finish is well preserved on the cloth bucket seats,
door panels, and carpeting. This is comfortable for everyone, with
desirable features like an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input,
power windows, and air conditioning. But the best treats are
reserved for the driver. The sporty steering wheel and full gauge
dashboard give this Z a performance feel, and you'll love resting
your right arm between the center console and upgraded B&M
shifter.
Buying a Z/28 in '78 meant you got Chevy's trusty and powerful 350
cubic-inch V8, but regulations did take some of the power away.
This coupe rectifies that by upgrading the motor to give you
everything you wished for back then. A Holley four-barrel
carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and Hooker headers add a serious
performance that you feel from the moment you twist the key and
hear the dual exhaust roar. This is a true driver's car with sway
bars front & rear, power steering, three-speed automatic
transmission, front disc brakes, and the grip of BF Goodrich Radial
T/As.
This is one '78 Camaro that really has the power to back up its
aggressive appearance. No one expects true performance like this
from these good-looking coupes, so it will be tough to find a
better classy classic for this price. Call now!!
