Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this 1970 Plymouth
Road Runner. A little history about this particular Road Runner. It
originally was equipped with a 383 CID/335 HP but later on the car
was converted to an all-out race car. The engine was changed to a
426 HEMI. Several body parts were converted to fiberglass to save
weight. These included the front fenders, the hood,both
bumpers,trunk lid. The flooring was converted to aluminum. A fuel
cell (15 gal with foam) was mounted in trunk, rear mounted battery,
fully tubbed, 90/10 front shocks were installed along with a
competition roll-cage. When found from the current owner the car
had no engine. After a lot of research The body was paired with an
Ray Barton Racing Engine from Robesonia, PA This 528 CID street
hemi engine made 709HP and 630 ft lbs of torque. This is a very
well documented engine.Equipped with aluminum long tube headers,
steel braided lines, and a Holley 1050 Dominator Carburetor. This
Road Runner also has a custom designed exhaust that was designed
and installed by an exhaust specialist. The exhaust has electric
cut outs below each door with 4 pipes; 2 out the side and 2 out the
back. The exhaust is also equipped with an exhaust actuator switch.
You will notice the eye catching red exterior which has been
beautifully laid on a super straight body. This Road Runner also
rolls on aluminum polished Weld Racing rims wrapped in Mickey
Thomson tires (31x18R 15LT) in the rear and Primewell (195/65R15
91H) up front.It is equipped with disk brakes in the front by SSBC
performance brake systems for great stopping power. Inside it has
black vinyl / cloth racing bucket seats, with a DS 4-point Simpson
Racing Harness, and a 2-point passenger harness. The car is
equipped with a competition roll cage. On the dash sits a 3-gauge
cluster with an aftermarket tach also has a Sony aftermarket radio.
This car has only been driven 2,200 miles since being built. To see
