The XK 120 was Jaguars first sports car since the since the SS 100
was discontinued in 1940. It was offered in two versions, one being
the open roadster also, known as the OTS and the FHC also known as
the Hard-top. The designation of XK120 was XK being the engine lay
out and the 120 being for the cars being tested at 120MPH. The
XK120 was the fastest production car in the world for some time. It
is also described as one of the most beautiful of the time period
as well. This particular car has been purchased out of a long term
ownership estate in Indiana where the car was purchased in the late
1970's where it was enjoyed and carefully driven until 1998 where
it was then stored with a collection of vehicles in a climate
controlled facility until 2016. The car was then shipped to
Northern Michigan where it underwent a mechanical restoration that
totaled more than $16,000 in receipts (available upon request). The
car from our understanding went through a cosmetic restoration in
the late 1970's or early 1980's. The body panels still look very
good and presentable. This is now a starting, running, shifting and
braking car that is ready for the next owner to add their own
touches. Or, just buy it and drive it. The fender skirts are
missing as are the side curtains. The soft-top you see is part of
the purchase but not sure that was the top that came with it.
